The Evolution of Poetry on Demand Outreach LLC

MAY 2015: I founded Poetry on Demand (PoD) as a poetry-writing group with Eric C. as my co-founder. We hosted writing sessions in the Bronx via Meetup.com, attending open mics and engaging in NYC’s art scene. Our regulars became a close-knit community.

During this time, I also extended our reach by hosting poetry sessions at various organizations under my initiative, "Poetry on Demand Outreach." (Scroll down to see the list of organizations I collaborated with.)

APRIL 2021: We moved to Zoom, making our sessions accessible to more people virtually.

APRIL 2022: To celebrate our journey, we self-published Poetry on Demand Anthology: Idea Inspired Dreams. It featured our poems and members’ stories about PoD’s impact. The book sold out entirely! OCTOBER 2024: What began as a segment and a heartfelt hobby—Poetry on Demand Outreach—transformed into a business: Poetry on Demand Outreach LLC. Rooted in the same passion that started in 2015, the LLC carries forward our mission by offering custom poetry workshops, inspiring creativity, and fostering meaningful connections.

Past Collaborations
Facilitated a Poetry on Demand style writing session at Virtual Gatherings' Caregivers Support Group in August of 2023!
Facilitated a Poetry on Demand style writing session at a poetry writing group called Haus of Expression!! In June of 2022!!
Facilitated a Poetry on Demand style writing session with the Black Women Healing and Empowerment Circle in October of 2020.
I taught Poetry 101 to ESOL Adult students at the International Center in NYC through Catholic Charities. January 2019 - February 2019. A six week course!
